Team Torque

TEAM HISTORY

TEAM PILLOW TORQUE was conceived in a pub during a Fighting Robots Association social in March 2004. Jenny and Karoline, fed up with listening to men bragging about their exploits did listen when someone suggested,
"Why don't you two girls have a go?"
The original featherweight Pillow Torque made it's debut on 25 July 2004 during a fun event and won first time out!!! Since then we have had many successes and our motto "Who said girls can't fight!" has struck fear into many an opponent!
Since then we have expanded the fleet, two more versions of Pillow Torque, another featherweight, Small Torque, and a brand new heavyweight, Fighting Torque to make it's debut during 2009.

TEAM TORQUE: In 2009 we brought in the MEN!!! Geoff (Jenny's hubby and always the brains behind the robots), David (Karoline's son who is just starting out as a roboteer), and Mike (our dear friend and the builder of Dantomkia). With this comes more robots, Pain in the Asp (a featherweight version of the US heavyweight champion robot 'Sewer Snake') plus a couple more interesting things on the drawing board.
